I took this over Christmas sometime (playing with my new camera) when there was some minor flooding. The bench, which would normally be right on the river bank facing across the river, didn't even get its feet wet.

David I like the concept of your photo, but find the tuffed of hedge very distracting from the rest of the picture. Have you thought about cropping it a little tighter.

David,
A great idea, but your execution could 'perhaps' do with a few changes, after all, it is YOUR execution, this is just my opinion. As Denise commented, the shrub at the base of the photo detracts from your focus, but I might be so bold to add that the branches of the tree coming out of the upper right corner also act in a similar manner. Out of personal taste, I would have given the photo a blue tint, or reduce the green if your camera supports that. It may make it look more surreal and possibly (and ironically) warmer, but then I wasn't there.
Regardless, a well taken photo with great potential for some interesting manipulation (a beam of light onto the seat?).
