This is a beautiful old church on the N.E. part of town next to the North Sea. I happen to believe that St. Andrews in one of the many beautiful places in Scotland.
I love these photos of old buildings and ruins. This one is very good as well, perhaps only if it was a little sharper and shot maybe a couple of hours earlier when the shadows would have been shorter. It's a great shot nonetheless though...
I agree this looks like a beautiful spot and the weather seems perfect. It is a little blurred and the shadows do detract from the view somewhat. It's also a shame about the green fencing which I would guess is from a different time period! I don't know what options you had though - sometimes it isn't possible to avoid such things and I don't know if it would be possible to remove that or not. I especially like the view of the sea through the holes in the wall right at the back of the site - definitely a lovely way to capture the North Sea.
It is a beautiful shot of the ruins of an old church. In winter the shadows are long because the sun is always low - so that cannot be avoided. The picture, as far as I can see is not blurred. The camera has been aimed at the bigger section in front and therefore the rear sections will appear a little less sharp. I would say, good job done!
Beautiful, very well shot! I lived for an academic year in St Andrews, and have a lasting love for it. Are you sure this is the church? It looks like the ruins of the castle there, not the cathedral site.
