Little butterfly in a flowery garden. I only had time for this one quick shot.

I love butterfly season, and it seems it is upon us :) This little guy is so clear that I can see the markings on his body, and I'm not sure I ever noticed the clear black and white on anything other than the wings...perhaps I've been so caught up in looking at wings that I've forgotten to give some attention to the bodies of these little marvels. The flowers are bright and the background is faded just the right amount. The angle is good..off to the left so you are looking at a very nicely composed pic. good job :)PJ

Good capture Frank, they are so hard to get as they always fly away when you get too close

Another great shot Frank. Nice crisp focus and rich color. The composition has a nice line to it. anne :-)

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)

Lovely butterfly shot, Frank. Maybe the monarchs like the orange flowers because they can blend in.

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel. -Josemaria Escriva

The depth of field here is perfect, and the balance of the butterfly and the flowers is fabulous - both of which would have been challenging to set up in the short time the butterfly alighted. A very good technical and asthetic caputre! - cheers, kim
