Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel.

I never thought I'd be calling a shot of a grasshopper cute, but you've led me down this dangerous path, Frank, and if you see me posting any other sentimental comments on insects, I want you to be the first to blow the whistle on me. I never see pictures of insects in which description I would use the word "cute". He looks just as you've described, like he's very attached to that piece of grass and from the way his eye is positioned you can almost see him throwing out the challenge to just try and take it away from him..omg..lol.....and I'm going to hit that post button too. :)))) PJ
Really great detail in this close up Frank. Good job with the exposure. Not a subject I get excited about but good for a science book, eh? Ever since junior high when they made us dissect grasshoppers in science class I get squeamish looking at them. LOL anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
