When I was a young man I used to travel over this wooden bridge. Now it is one of a few remaining historical covered bridges that still stand in Alabama. There were others that made me glad every time I got to the other end. They creaked and popped. Those have gone into history as only memories of older times.

Awesome covered bridge Frank. Can't believe how long it is and the great condition of it. You've taken it at a great angle with lots of depth. Very well done and glad you shared it.

Clarity, composition, angle and depth of field are all good here, Frank, and I'm enjoying it along with everyone else. But I come from a land where there are a lot of covered bridges, and I'm trying to see if this is big enough for a horse and buggy or even a small auto, or is it a foot bridge? I see someone walking down underneath it...do the trees hide water or a big dropoff that can't be viewed from this angle? It's lovely, but my mind is having a hard time imagining why someone would have gone to all the trouble of building something with such huge stone foundations without having a darned good reason. ..lol..enquiring minds want to know....or some such gew gawish falderal :)PJ

Wow, thisis a really long covered bridge. what exactly was it going across? I like covered bridges and this one is no exception. Nicely composed and clear.
