Totally imaginary image that I dreamed up and not intentionally like any real place or thing. I was just feeling a little bit in an island mood and wanted to whip out a little wild vegetation.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
I spotted this from the thumbnail displays and clicked over as fast as I could. I knew I had to have it, even before enlarging. I love the artistry and the vision. Gives me something to aim for. I hope you make and post more of the same.
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Well ... I think your birthday is a good day to leave you a small gift of words of appreciation. And this time ... on one of your pieces. ;o) Now then ...
I see one of our resident heavyweights made his way onto this images' page. No ... not me. :oP
The colour palette is indeed very tropical and provokes thoughts and other images of an island setting and atmosphere. Vibrant, full of life and rich.
Your line work is very good. Clean and sharp. I really do like this. It will come in handy, visually speaking ... around January 'up here' in the Great White North. When the nerves are frayed and the psyche has taken a beating from the winter.
Caveats? Hmm, minor at best. As a suggestion ... as always ... what do you think about orienting the water line a little lower and then just hinting ... at what lies below this fantasy world?
Some of the shapes that do appear below the waters' surface don't ... in my very humble opinion share the same weight as the 'ferns' and 'leaves' of those plants above. It creates a little ... little confusion visually, that's all.
But ... I do like this, make no mistake. There is so much more right and attractive in your piece here, than is not. Wonderfully creative.
And yes, thank you for sharing your talent. :o)
p.s. A most sincere ... Happy Birthday ... and may the day be kind to
you.
p.s.p.s. +fav ... and it looks like I need to do some cleaning in my fav's folder to make room for more of your work. Till the next time.
All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>

This just popped up in featured images -- haven't seen it before, but it's been there a while. Amazing what lurks on this site that one has no idea about! Lovely illustration.
