Who would of thought it. Milkweeds can be pretty. My mistake these are called Nodding Thistles. You can see them along highways. They usually get pulled up or cut before you see their pretty flowers.
After a bit of an absence, partly vacation but mostly tax season...busy for bookkeeping businesses... I'm glad to be back out here with at least 'some' regularity. I've missed everyone and am glad to have a little more time again.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

and straight to my faves Frank!!!
i love thistles!
and would have a yard full if honey'd let me:D
they got "guts"-
will bloom when and where nothing else will!
and they smell perty too-
just watch your nose!!
excellent shootin!
Another great shot Frank. I will have to admit when I first read 'milkweeds' I was a little confused but you cleared that up real quick. thanks for showing a weed can be beautiful. ;-)
The clarity here is blowing me away, Frank. I didn't like the one in the middle being where it was and being further away, of course, out of the range of the clear portion, but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. Not only is the plant unusual, but your presentation is as well. Great job...
What camera model is this?
