I've been playing with the idea of shooting water with a neutral density filter for awhile. Finally got out there and took some pictures with it. The filter allows you to slow down your shutter speed way down at a higher aperture thus making the water more silky. I would have preferred a more active water scene but this was the best I had that was close by.

That's nature for you, uncooperative at the best of times. A nice angle and perspective in the photo. A nice softness in the water and good colours in the scene.
