Here is another bird I was privileged to take a picture of. I'm really not a bird watcher so I haven't a clue to what kind it is. I sure would like to get better at catching some of these feathered friends.
It's a sandpiper, but there are a million kinds of sandpipers and they all look alike so I don't know specifically... Good portrait of this little guy! mary
Frank, What a neat capture, and so well focused. They are quick movers I might add. I might have tried to crop some off the top to make him more prominent, but otherwise a marvelous capture. Tigs♥ =^..^=
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Frank, as an amateur ornithologist and avid bird watch, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that this is a bald eagle, a turkey vulture or a robin. You're welcome.
As for the shot, I haven't much in the way of complaints. I thought that you had too much extraneous scenery around the sandpiper and might suggest a crop like this. At first I thought that you might lose some focus by enlarging the subject, but that wasn't the case. The bird looks great. Might as well show it off.
