This little blackbird was really eyeballing that nail. Like he was trying to figure it out. Wonder what was on his mind at the time. The image was taken at a high ISO so there was a lot of grain in it but after looking at it it seemed artistic to me like a painting. So I put some soft relief in there and added a grain texture to make it more like a painting. I enjoy it because that bird just makes it for me.

I'm glad I read your narrative, Frank. I couldn't figure out how you arrived at the "texture" and that artistic painted quality. Crows are naturally very inquisitive and smarter than most of my immediate relatives. You're right. They're always trying to figure out their next meal. A delightful shot with a unique presentation.
