Not a fancy title but an accurate one. Some of you people know your birds better than I so maybe you can help me know what kind this one is. I simply chose it for the background, coloring and focus. It has some blue on it so maybe a bluebird.

The lightings very good in this shot Frank there's no shadows or harsh sunlight. The birds pretty but don't ask me what it is I'm English.

As a professional ornithologist, Frank, I can tell you without a doubt that you captured a rare shot of the endangered blue chicken. Hunted to near extinction for its unique taste (tastes like chicken), the beak is thought to be an aphrodisiac and is highly prized by the Chinese.

You failed to mention anything in your narrative about the ancient string which I recognize as a remnant of the kite flying that you recently did with Benjamin Franklin.

Seriously flawless work.

This is a very good capture of this sweetie, I don't think it's a blue bird, their color is more blue overall. I tried to google something up, but I failed on this one Frank, I'm curious as well. :) It's feathers almost look like a blue jay, but the rest of it's build and look does not fit that of jay. You got me????? Blue birds have a a brownish coloring on their breasts, just a tip for you. Let me know if you find out what it is please.

Great composition of the scene and good focus, DoF and details in the photo Frank. She appears to be either a mountain or western bluebird, perhaps a juvenile. That's the best my research could come up with. Good work with this capture.

I think Eugene is correct ... the bird looks to be a juvenile bluebird. You are very lucky to capture this one with the camera as bluebirds are known to be very elusive, shy, & protective of their young. I like the detail on the feathers & the DOF is super. Very well done, Frank.
