There are so many wonderful types of trees and I believe I have yet seen only a few of them. This is only one but it is showing a bit of Autumn and yet really just teasing us. They give so much to us and we hardly notice. Some view them as profit to be made while others feel they are obstructing their view and thus they are cut away. I am not a tree hugger but I do like trees and I really think we are caretakers in our world to preserve it for the next generation to come. I remember when I was child how I used to climb those big oaks. It was scary but exhilarating at the same time. I don't think many children today would venture up a tree. They have their video games. I have rambled on but being an artist of some degree has made me appreciate the beauty of trees.
I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree
