I believe Taro is what an elephant ear plant is called. There are many varieties. The Hawaiians hold them sacred. I have never seen one with a pretty bloom before and I looked on the internet and could not find a similar one. There are many things about it I never knew but I'll let you look it up. I've done a casual search.

I checked and couldn't find one with a purple flower either. What a unique capture with nice lighting and focus!

Very beautiful color and clear capture - I've never seen a bloom on one of these - only those large green leaves.
