I decided not to crop the little morning glory cap the dahlia was wearing. It added some more color and I didn't want to destruct the dahlia. Background was via Perfect Effects 4 with a little masking and touch up.
You made the right decision IMO Frank...the lavender goes nicely with the rich color of the dahlia and 'she' is so lovely it would be a shame to take anything away from 'her'...great background work too...bravo on all counts.
The background you used brought out the dahlia nicely - it gives your image a three dimensional effect!!! I do like the morning glory - it perks up the frame with a nice spot of color!!! Well Done
