I noticed a lady wearing a scarf over her head and it looked rather pretty. It got me to thinking about where the idea came from so I found this article Not Just A Headwrap. It was an amazing story. Here is my drawing for today. I hope you enjoy it.

I've check-out your link to know more about the your motivation to create this amazing artwork. Very interesting. 'Doek' however isn't an original Afrikaans word, as it comes from Holland. A 'doek' (in English literally a 'cloth') is in fact a piece of cloth that is used as a neck scarf, head scarf or garment. In South Africa originally both the (old) Dutch and English languages were spoken. As in Holland the Dutch language was evaluated to a more modern version, the South African version stayed intact, so that it's nowadays pretty hard for Dutch people to understand the present South African version.
