Pigs can be cute. Among other livestock, we raised pigs on our farm. I had the job of feeding them from our corn crib and they loved what we called slop...it was leftover vegetables, peelings, and things. They fairly fought over that. I remember this one sow that I would scratch behind her ear and she would love it so much she would just fall over. The little pigs were a lot of fun to play with. That was when I was from 6 on to 14 years old. Summers were really hot and Winters were really cold and we did what we could to have food on the table. Livestock was not for pets and that had to be learned early.

Frank, my grandparents from mother's side had a (small) farm. They had pigs too. In my younger days I got often the opportunity to feed them.
On such an occasion one pig 'escaped' to the open fields, because I wasn't careful enough to keep the stable locked. Although it's many, many years ago, I still remember how my grandparents were chasing the 'fugitive'.
Your fine contribution revived to me this hilarious view, 😜 .

This brought back a few good memories...After leaving school...I got a job on a local farm, for a few months...They had a pig that was a monster, it was huge!..Other farm-hands 'initiated' me to ride on it's back..😯..Boy..that ride was truly hairy!...I hung on (what felt like hours) but was a couple of minutes...At least I passed!!
