This is exactly what our world needs today, more places of peace and tranquility...or at least a spot where we can find our own peace and tranquility. At first look I found the branches in the foreground a distraction, but the longer I looked at the more I realized it acted as a buffer to the rest of the picture, a wall between the tranquility of the garden and the bedlam of the outside world. Well done, my friend!
"'Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW! What a ride!"'
Ohhhh this looks like the little piece of Paradise that I've been searching for. IT is so lovely, I can almost hear that water trickling..thankfull I have a little creek on our land.
And Spring is around the corner. Yayyyyyyy!! You took a lovely shot, the curve of the stream is just right and I adore, love, those huge boulders on the banks of the stream. What a great idea someone had.Or maybe nature had them there. I love the variety of trees and the grasses right in front. It's all so 3 dimensional! Is that a little bridge in the background? Verena
The only thing missing in this shot is a hammock with me in it. The only thing missing in your description is the location of this place so I can head there with my hammock. Nice job.
I've was looking for a piece of paradise and stumbled into this wonderful place. That must have been a very relaxing walk in the park for you.
About the foto, if I may comment to that (if not let me know!):
there is just too much to see. It would be better to have more of the stream and less of the surroundings in the photo. That of course may require you to get closer to the stream and perhaps getting down on your knees. What also might help it to either use a wide angle lens (so you can get really close to the water and thereby eliminate much of the overgrowth) or a zoomlens (so you can blur out the surroundings).
Please let me know if you like my critics or if I'd better keep my mouth shut.
