Used to fly these when I was a boy - had forgotten just how beautiful they are :-) the detail, colour and DOF are very nice here - my only suggestion would be to crop it to a more widescreen aspect ratio - making the hawk more central.
Again, an extraordinary capture. You have such vivid detail in the hawk. I like the suggestion on widescreen, strickly from a selfish personal reason in that my monitor is widescreen. But, Rickie, this picture still looks great on my monitor. How could it not?

Wow ... beautiful hawk & I love that wing span. The detail is magnificent too. I also would have probably cropped some off the top of the image, otherwise it's a grand action shot. Kudos, Richie.
I think it will land on a Poll somewhere Count B. It will fly instead of a gallup. It looks like the eyes have it. It is probably going to vote on health care reform somewhere. Good clear action shot.
Oh I love the wingspan and the orange colour on them! What a stern and serious look on this birdies face! Nice that you were able to get him in flight like that.I agree that it would be good to crop him a bit tighter, and maybe either blur the background or make it darker. Nice photo.verena
Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.
