The goldcrest is the UK's smallest songbird and is dull green above and buff white below with a distinctive orange or yellow crown stripe...This little fella took some catching..So small and nimble,Not sitting still for a second..This one was at the top of a Fir tree..Lens maxed at 500mm..I still had to crop,Losing a little detail...

We get a 500mm and wish we had a 1000mm Count B. It is only money. :) The Owd Timer probably kept scaring it away. Good shot.

I think he was just too far away for any lens. You would have had to blast him with a civil war canon to get him really good.
