A66 Trans Pennine route from Yorkshire to Cumbria..The Pennines are a range of hills that run down the spine of Britain..Taken Wednesday on my way to the English Lake District..When it snows,This is always the first road to close...Hope this gives you your kicks..Brushes in this image from Obsidiandawn.R.

Code of Conduct updates

We have recently made a change to the Code of Conduct in order to clarify a point concerning use of outside images and source attribution. The changes are on sections 2.a and 2.b. We have also made available to the moderators a tool which will make it very easy to search for elements of an uploaded image on the web. The bottom line is that you should be diligent in properly attributing source images for your uploads. These changes were made primarily to reinforce our commitment as a community to original artwork and to ensure the protection of the artistic rights of artists here and around the world.

We too have a Route 66, in America, There was even a TV series in the 60's (can be seen on Netflix, btw). And, I did get my kicks because you cleverly worked that line from the song in your narrative.

A famous American highway for sure Count B. You would think we drove on the wrong side road. All I cans say is we drive on the "right" side of the road in the direction we are going. :) What a great shot.

"Get your kicks...on Route 66." That was an old Nat King Cole song. Beautiful shot, Biff. It makes me think of a stretch of highway in Colorado that has a view of mountains in the distance.

What fun to take your Rt 66! The only one I know of is 66 from Chicago to LA. Your drive looks ten times more exciting then our Route 66 Richie!

A lovely looking view of the rolling countryside. Beautiful colours and lighting and the composition is nothing to sneeze at. But what happened off to the center left with the red smear on the landscape. Some signage being removed from the photo?
