That looks like a room I would expect to see in Downton Abbey Richie - wonderful warmth is these rich deep tones.

Excellent shot. The only thing I draw is the curtains or blinds.

A drawing room is a room in a house where visitors may be entertained. The name is derived from the sixteenth-century terms withdrawing room and withdrawing chamber, which remained in use through the seventeenth century, and made their first written appearance in 1642.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

I too wondered about the origin of the name. It looks very comfy and inviting, R.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

This picture took me back to a scene from one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novels, it can very well be a living room where Holmes and Watson could discuss a crime, great shot!!!
