We do that regularly...such a lovely walk!...and the pub does a great meal!.........

I've my doubt's about the lighthouse. It could be St. Mary's lighthouse as St. Mary's Island/Whitley Bay is somewhat more north to Tynemouth. Thought first that it was the Tynemouth North Pier Lighthouse, but it's located at the end of the pier, and it's gray (with a white cap). I've enlarged your image bigger than full screen size, but still didn't found the solution.
