Ruins of a hill farm in the hills surrounding Swaledale..This Is one of the hardest I have done..Now I'm 78,It will be one I won't return to..An 8 mile round trip over extremely rough terrain at a pretty extreme angle just about done for me..I fell cutting my leg but nothing to serious...It's a picture I've always wanted to take..It will be the last time I do it..A teenager from the neck up...Pity the rest says different..I'm now on my recliner..My legs are aching.....R.

It is a lovely picture. My wife and I both decided that we keep going as long as the dear Lord allows. I haven't reached your heights yet, but the aches are showing up. I can't keep up with the teenagers on hikes so I lead the "slow and steady" groups.

Richie, I envy you. I am one year younger than you, but such physical exertion is a bridge too far for me. Your effort has resulted in a beautiful photo. May you recover quickly in your recliner!
