It's been just over a year since we moved into this property. The picture shows a before and after state of affairs, However It was much worse than the first picture. I've never grew vegetables but decided to give it a go and glad I did as they seem to be Thriving. Given the price of food at the moment I think I made the right decision. I do get a lot of satisfaction growing my own, It's good therapy. Next year I will plant more types as this year I was a little late ..R.

To me a miracle: Richie having 'green thumbs', 😁
Just kidding of course. Comparing the two photographs do me conclude that you did a terrific lot of effort. The result is great however! Home growth vegetables are very more fresh and tasteful than vegetables bought in a supermarkt or vegetable shop. An other advantage is that growing your own vegetables will give you a lot of satisfaction. I can't imagine a better therapy for retired men like you and me in order to prevent getting bored. It's a pity that because of my physical condition, I'm not able to do this anymore.

If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins! Please CLICK HERE to see my journal! Feel free to save my images or to add them to your favorites.

The one on the left is the "after" picture. Ha, ha, just kidding. You're not just a great photographer but also a terrific horticulturalist too!

You have done wonders in such a short time - it looks really terrific. All you need now is a little hen house and you can have your own eggs and tomatoes for the seaside sarnies !!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

That's quite an improvement, Richie, bravo! And you're right about your gardening. During Covid we couldn't find fresh produce anywhere, even having to have some chosen for us at a local Walmart store, by an employee there, the only way we could buy produce for months, only to pull them out of the bag and toss them right in the trash... rotting even before we got them. So owe did what you did: built our own garden. We still use it today and it provides not only rich, fresh food, almost daily, but my wife gets a ton of satisfaction out of working the soil and cooking with the food she grows. As for your "green thumb" improvements we are seeing in your paired images, if this is all in a single year, of separate seasons, then I'm thinking you have plenty of energy to spare. 5 stars for all your work.
