Richie, in the era in which this situation was set, people didn't have the opportunity to spend their leisure time the way we do today. So when the weather was good, people often went outside to chat with neighbors. Your beautiful illustration shows this very well. I would like to say that I know that the situation has been romanticized, because at that time there was often poverty, hunger and misery too. But despite this, we still talk about the good old days.
