Photo of Goddess Durga has been taken during Durga Puja festival in West Bengal.During the time Durga idol worshipped for 4 days. This festival usually celebrated in September/october every year.
I would actually include this photo in the nonartistic snapshot category, sorry. My issues with it is that its slanted plus there are heads in it from people that were in the shot. I can't figure out any reason how this could be called artistic.
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
However this photo is a representation of some unique art work by some common man. This is the main aspect of the photo over photography technique. However all comments are welcome.
I understand and I definitely agree that its a wonderful piece of artwork but the purpose of Caedes.net is to post artwork that people would actually use as a desktop background. There are other sites where one can share snapshots taken while traveling such as flickr.com.

However again to inform U that i have seen all the photos posted by U in your gallary and all of them are outstanding. Some are really unique. I am taking tips from those photographs. Thanks.
An interesting looking photo. Beautiful colours and details in this work of religious art. The photo could use a little work to improve it. Such as the slight downward tilt to the left. Perhaps if shot from a higher angle you could have avoided the silhouettes of the peoples heads in the photo. Maybe widen the shot to include more of the diorama. Thanks for sharing.
