Victoria Memorial at Kolkata photographed on 07.06.2011 I present this snap for your desktop Hence I named it as DESKTOP . Have always a good time ahead.....Bijan
I like the quality of lighting you captured, and how it enhances the architecture of the memorial.
If I may, and being bold here.. liked your image so much, I downloaded it and did some further post processing or editing. Hope you don't mind. Just wanted to put a picture to my words, so to speak.
/\ Might have pushed the exposure too much, however, gives you an idea of what can be accomplished using the technique of the tutorial linked below..
That of Phil's; aka philcUK "Faking the HDR thing.." ... to bring out a little more detail in the shadows, more or less. Hopefully, you have Photoshop and can give the tutorial a try yourself.
The cropping part?
In my humble opinion, just a bit too much water in the foreground. And given the quality of your photo here, readily stood up to the cropping with no apparent loss of detail, etc..
That said..
Make no mistake about my words above, I do enjoy your image as presented to us. Just consider my comments as some suggestions, or.. some creative food for thought.
And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)
OK, thank you for your nice opinion and I feel very happy that you liked the photograph very much and used your most valuable time for some valuable suggessions. Thank you again.Have very nice time ahead and good luck to you ......Bijan
I have seen the "!!! Desktop !!!" - cropped and adjusted by you and found that the quality has really improved . The trees in front became very much clear and beautiful. Cropping the photograph was also nice. So thank you dear friend........Bijan
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
