Nice capture. I think that it was a good idea to desaturate it. This image has lovely lights and darks and they really give the image character. Usually, images of people on here dont seem very artisticly done, but this one does, so good work!

İ think the two person walking away at the upper left of the photo makes a nice contrast with the lady sitting alone in a "somber" mood and strengthen the image of being alone. And i agree for desaturating. With a plain b&w adjustment the contrast between two colors wouldnt be that strong. İ think you did very well by taking other people in to the image. A good, balanced shot. Reflects what you wanted it to. Congratulations... : )

I always appreciate photos that can capture the mood of people. This is a great one and I love the b&w and the shadows from the bench and the people walking. There is something strange going on with the ground...the pavement/sidewalk and street look peculiar but I can't put my finger on what it is. Good pic though! I like it!

I think that capturing an artistic image of a person is difficult, but you did very well on this one i thought. (btw- does she know that she is on this site?)

I enjoyed this picture . I think you did well to capture black and white because it creates moodiness. Good focus also.
