Pala Duro Canyon is in the pan handle of Texas. It is actually the second largest canyon in the U.S.A. right behind the Grande Canyon. While not as deep it is beautiful.

Best wide-angle lens? Two steps backward. Look for the 'ah-ha'. Ernest Haas

A great capture BTK and the rugged west suits you. Love the bluff that extends almost through the photo. I see Indians on the bluff with John Wayne and the Calvary trying to get away on the canyon floor. Great post.

Oh my goodness! I caN't believe I see this photo! When we moved to Oregon from Louisiana the first place we camped at was Pala Duro Canyon!! It was awesome, but we were pulling a small trailer to carry things in, and had to leave it at the top, due to it being too steep.I never knew it was the second biggest canyon in USA..wow, I'm so glad I see this photo of yours, it's a very good one too.Thank you ever so much.
