This reflection pool inside Carlsbad Caverns is ground water that has made its way down from the surface. They say it takes 1 year for the water to make its way down from the surface. Don't ask me how they know that but they are the scientist not me.

A man could die of thirst waiting for the water to arrive. Great shot and the angle is good. I would like to see the colors boosted a bit for contrast. Your caverns are quite photogenic BTK.

Reminds me of Seneca Caverns around where I live. Man, is it cold in there. Nice shot of the pool. A very educational, and well presented shot.
