A stone bridge I did not know about untill I went to the western part of the Chickasaw Recreation Center a couple of weeks ago. I am going to ask that anyone voting on this capture please leave a comment on what you like or dislike about it. I appreciate all critisism if it makes me a better photographer. My last post recieved a 4 c in index and forgive me but a monkey with a pocket instamatic can do better than a 4.

I am going to take a break from commenting for a while BTK. I bet you were excited when you saw this. I would say the exposure is messed up. It looks like you tried to brighten it and bring out the textures in the shadows. Did you take this against the sun?

Great angle for the shot Billy. Can you post it without the orton or HDR, I would like to see the difference.

Some creative and post-processing/editing food for thought:

"3 Layer Orton Video Tutorial"

/\ Lil' bit more control with the above technique.

Composition. Some thoughts..

Being bold here, think ... think, that is, and without the benefit of having been there ... might have been tempted to come around to the left a tad.

Effectively moving the main support that dominates your photo here, off to the right more so. (Less central and more of a 'natural' framing element, in short.)

If this area is available to you, perhaps a revisit?

As the wealth of textures, colours, et al ... are indeed eye-catching. :o)

Billy - I like the textures in this photo. I do wonder what the scene would be if Les' advice was followed about angle of the photo. Thad

Listen to the pros up there Billy. They know what they're talking about. I can only tell you how to fix fractals...lol...
Its a beautiful scene and a great composition in my opinion, but I'm with Tick and saying its something with your exposure. Or maybe too much contrast.

I really like this bridge - great composition. It does seem a bit overexposed to me, though.
