You're stating to make it pretty tough for me Billy. Either you're getting better at this photo business or my old eyes are just gettin' older. I was about to comment on the sharpness when I realized that the misty sky indicated a haze. So naturally I downloaded your shot and viewed it at 400% (I love those comments about viewing a shot at full size). As I panned around I realized that you tried to fool us again with that PhotoShop stuff. Nice try. Fool me once, something something. Fool me twice, something else. And you can quote me on that.
Think Roger is (in his comment above) talking about what he sees in the right under corner of your image. It has the appearace of a not so well erased part of a second layer after two images were blended. Don't know whether he is right or not. Like to confirm however, that you provided us indeed with a relaxing image of a tranquil scene, Billy. I Like it! Regards, Cornelius.
I see you have a lot of fun with your sky replacement, as I love to do that too. I see though, a couple of spots that you could improve on in this shot, that being in the tree branches at the top center, and where the trees on the left meet the sky. One way to blend them together better, is to use the smudge tool to take the sharpness off the edge of the trees. Just a few pixels wide, and at about 30% pressure about all you need to accomplish this. I think it was Owd Bob that pointed this out to me a few years ago. The image is a beautiful scene, which has the appearance of early fall. Keep up the good work, Billy.
I think our sharp eyed comrades have pointed out the flaws from the technical side BTK. The composition is really good and I think you could have achieved what you wanted without any sky included at all It is the bend that dominates the scene. Good work once again and you can't learn if you don't try.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
I like the angle and makes me wonder is beyond the bend. I would like to offer a suggestion on this one-the focus seems a bit soft, and if you did a little more contrast or gamma work, I think it would have brought out those colors more. Tigs♥ =^..^=
