I made a trip to Phantom Canyon this weekend. I discovered it about 5 years ago when I was doing the Canon City Co. store. It starts at about 55oo feet and ends at about 9500 feet. It is the route that the gold trains used to travel and is just about the prettiest 27 miles you will ever travel. To learn more about it click here.

Think you're right Billy because I've read (after checking out your link) that the Phantom Canyon Road is one of the most scenic and historic drives in Colorado.
If anyone has still some doubts, your wonderful photograph will remove them all.

This shot is a stunner, Billy. Unless I'm mistaken, you're not cloning in any foreign skies...at least I don't see any evidence. Without any flaws at the tree line to complain about, you have a glorious landscape here. Love the colors and that clean, crisp air.
