I took this capture Sunday afternoon some where between Denver and Steamboat Springs Co. I did see a sign that said this is the Blue River. This scenery amazed me. I hope you enjoy it and thankyou for your comments.
Why would anyone name this the "Blue River"? Dumbest thing I ever heard. The river is not actually blue. The water is clear. The reflection from the sky when you took this shot gives the water the appearance of being blue. But if you returned at midnight, the water would appear to be black. Might as well call it the black river or maybe the rainbow river. I'm sure that an orange sunrise/sunset would make the river look orange and red. Dumb sign makers. However I just checked on Google Earth and this land is owned by Frank and Leona Blue; maybe color never played a part. So never mind.
There's no way that you faked this sky. Even you're not that good. Great shot. Lovely colors although I don't like the looks of those dead pines. I hope you didn't spray them with Round Up again.

P.S. You sure do have some great scenery out your way. And you're doing a wonderful job of sharing that beauty with us.
I bet looking for photo ops makes your travels more pleasant BTK. It sure enhances this site. Beautiful work and the scene looks great with the winding river.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
I recognize that top of that mountain, but I can't remember exactly where it was. This is a gorgeous shot, Billy. I love that stream, and all the trees, and the sky is beautiful too.
