This was taken in The Chickasaw Rec Area located in Sulpher Ok. Normally this is a fast running stream. You can see that here. This steam is normally fed by an underground spring. Due to the drought this year it is dried up. I think even with little water this is a beautiful place. I hope you feel the same.

I've been enjoying so many of your long distance mountain shots that I hadn't realized until now how much I enjoy these up close and personal images. Lovely colors obviously, but this shot is also well composed and beautifully focused. The two tree in the foreground make for a splendid natural border, and the criss-crossing trees in the middle really make this an interesting as well as a beautiful image. My AC nomination is gone although this shot deserves it. Best I can offer is a fave and a well done.

What a difference the changes make. Even with less water it is a picturesque place to explore. I seldom get to see so much color at once here. A pleasure to view.
