Canyon Lake is located an hour from Mesa Az. It is only about 30 miles but you can only go about 25mph most of the way. The road is paved but the turns are sharp and plentiful. I hope you all like it and thanks for the supportive comments lately.

Reading your narrative, does me conclude that you weren't only on a photo shoot but on survival/adventure trip as well, Billy, lol.

You're in my area. I've spent lots of time on this lake and have been doing it for 50 years or so. Lovely, colorful look at it.

Great spot! Took Apache Trail going southwest from Roosevelt Lake a few years ago, what a beautiful area and wild drive that was!
