Oh my! This is just fantastic!! Never thought of taking a photo of pilings like this. I guess that's what they are? And the light from the sun, wow, just awesome. I really like how the snow is just coating those...and the texture and contrast is just perfect. Nicely done!! Verena

They crossed the Yukon River and found the bonanza gold.
Below that old white mountain just a little south-east of Nome.

I think you did too Winona. I love the song North To Alaska and also this shot. It made me think of it.

This caught my eye in the featured images, its a real simple shot with abstract qualities that works well. Love the gradation of the golden sunlight blending from gold to pink then to grey.
