Here is my first attempt at posting an image...so go easy on me :). This was taken in Los Cabos, Mexico back in Dec08. Tons of these crab shells lying around the rocks.
Enjoy!!
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
I'm guessing this was taken with either a macro lens or function which tends to shrink your depth of field a lot, leading to only part of the legs being in focus.
You'll need to an aperture setting probably around f/10-15 to get more of your subject in focus.
That being said, the legs are nice and crisp and the shot is nicely composed.
I'm guessing the title came after you saw the result. I'm also guessing you might be kinda new to photography?
Looks like the autofocus on the camera did you in. The legs closest to you (and the lens) are in focus. Try aiming the focus point (usually looks like -+- that) at the crab's face, should you get, or want, another opportunity to shoot something similar. Did you adjust any settings, or was this on full auto?
Funny thing is, if this was in focus, the slanted position of the crab would've made for a decent composition.. so I suspect you're headed in the right direction.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
Hey.......... Gotta start somewhere!
