Dug this (and all other pictures that are from my Canada trip) a few days ago. This is one of the world's most famous and expensive hotels, Chateau Frontenac, around $2000 a night for the basic rooms.

Oh I just love this! Tres fantastique! I have never been to Quebec City, but plan a trip in August. This is my new desktop to motivate me about that adventure. Beautiful shot, now in my favorites. Thanks!

Hey Matt --
such a gorgeous hotel. Image is nice and sharp with great colors. composition is good execpt for the lightpole. It's size is distracting and makes your eye focus towards it. Good idea with the pole but maybe use it as an edge piece. Overall great job though.

I agree with doubleheader that the light should be on the edge of the pic. My eyes are very focused on the center where the leaves overlap the chateau - the abrupt change from the chaos of the leaves to the orderliness of the grid the windows make is very distracting to me and takes away from the beauty of the piece as a whole.

A nice image with very distinct elements contributing to the sense of depth

it's a beautiful picture, but you're wrong about the hotel rates. It ranges from around $300 to $500 for a "basic" room depending on the season. You must have been staying in the Presidential Suite if you paid $2000/night
