this is NOT the sun, it's the moon from this evening above the top of Millennium Tower of Vienna. In front you can see an ugly cellular antenna.
The first photo with my new bought used camera, a Dimage A200
exposure time: 13 seconds!

Well done! My goodness, must have been one very small aperture! It is very good. You haven't lost detail in other objects and it gives a real feel of how it was at the time. Good for you!

Ah, a new camera.....I bet Sabine is a happy camper now ;) I don't know much about your Dimage A200 but I can certainly say that your eye did a great job with this capture of the moon and the presentation is great. Well done Chris and congrats.

There is a remarkable level of detail in here for a nocturnal shot. It’s a real good start for you with the new cam.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

I took a second look after reading your comments indicating that this is actually the moon. Nice job and best of luck with your new camera.

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

I can't really say what makes me say that but the shot has something science-fiction-like about it...;-) That's why I'm very much fond of the stuff ;-)
