One of the world leading conservatories, founded in 1882 as a successor to the National Training School for Music by the then-Prince of Wales (later Edward VII), the school opened in 1883 with George Grove as its director. It moved to its present location in the Albertopolis cultural quarter, next to Imperial College, London and opposite the Royal Albert Hall in 1894. In the same year Hubert Parry became director, remaining until 1918.

Okay, if I ever find a way to go back to school I'm going here. :) What a gorgeous building, and how exciting would it be to study music at such a place. Beautiful shot. Being a classical musician and a lover of beauty in all forms, this goes into my faves.

Great job, Chris. It looks as though you had a bit of tricky lighting here and managed it superbly. Lots of talented people have trod these hallways. Your photo is a nice tribute to them.

Hmm...I know this street and it's often in deep shadow. To get such a vibrant shot, you've done very well indeed. Great work!

It is not just the building but it is also the clarity of the photo that impresses me. Deine Aufnahmen sind ausserordentlich gut, Chris. - Raj
