In the big 'Arkadenhof' the fountain is located, which figure was designed by Heinrich von Ferstel himself and crafted by Anton Dominik Fernkorn.

Nice photo! I like the subject and thanks for the history lesson :) I think it might have been a little bit better if you have stepped closer to the center or moved the camera a little bit down so the upper part above you (which is shown in the upper part of the photo) was out of the picture... and also it's a lil bit grainy but lol most photos sans flash are like that :P anyway, I like the fact that the upper windows are different :P 2 sets of them are without glass and then another set has glass in them :) Thanks for sharing the photo :)

mmm grain mr chris??? whats going on??? LOL, you know how much i am laughing right now dont you!! :-) grin!!, as for me, i like this shot, its hard to get pictures shooting into the light like this, and you know me, i dont mind the grain!! There is an amazing glass roof in the british museum, i tried unscusessfully to take a picture of it, so hats off to you, good job!
