Super shot, Chris. As lovely as your rose series has been, this is really the most interesting and unusual photo I have seen in a while. The lighting is wonderfully done to bring out the texture of the thorns and the branch.

An excellent metaphor for many things in life. I think God gave us the rose only to act as this metaphor, and perhaps to inspire us. This is another excellent shot, Chris.
