Sorry for deleting and re-doing this shot. As Rob and Rick said, the specs were distracting.

It's a leaf floating on water ;o)
Thanks to all who view and comment!
Chris, the touch-up paid off. The clean, smooth water's surface provides a great background and base for the solitary leaf. Minimalistic and elegant. Great job.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
Reminds me of a fairy tale I read as a child about fairy princesses sneaking out of the palace down to an enchanted forest where the leaves of the trees were gold and silver and fruits were jewels. This leaf has fallen from one of those trees and floats on a clear crystal stream.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

The simplicity of this is awesome. Personally I don't much care for the gray tones water, I feel it's just not "rich" enough for the beauty of the copper coloured leaf. But the photo creation itself is really well done. I like that a lot. Verena
