The Pier Head area of the Liverpool Waterfront is a World Heritage Site and is dominated by The Three Graces. These are, The Royal Liver Building, The Cunard Building and The Port of Liverpool Building, which is shown here.

The large ,white, stone tower behind The Port of Liverpool Building is a ventilation shaft for The Queensway Mersey Tunnel, usually called either The Old Tunnel or The Birkenhead Tunnel.Interestingly, this wonderful, stone-built,Art Deco designed building and ventilation shaft (opened 1934) performs the same function as the far more utilitarian structure shown Here (opened in 1971).

I didn't know about the three Graces Steve. When I read your title I thought it maybe had something to do with 'Are You Being Served'. I like this building, and you did well with it considering the poor light and conditions.

This looks really good Steve. There is a lot of history in that frame. Isn't technology wonderfull? I like how we share things on this site. All at the speed of mind. Great info. If I ever make it to Liverpool, I want you as my guide. lol. Have a good Friday.
