A final picture of the wonderful and very old churchyard at the church in the centre of Prestbury Cheshire, where I grew up. I went to secondary school to King's Macclesfield (the nearest town). This school was founded in 1502 and then re-founded and endowed by King Edward VI in 1552 hence its name of King's School.

It looks as thought the trees have been crying over the graves, with the leaves being tears. A very nice autumnal shot U. Steve x

There appears to be several tombs in this cemetery Caruso. It gives it a much different look and feel. I would suspect it could get quite spooky at night. Good post.

A very lovely post. I especially like the sprinkle of leaves and water on the monument in the foreground. And the autumn leaves certainly form a good back drop for the church yard.

I've tried cemeteries with limited success and keep meaning to go back and try again. The combination of the stone and autumn cololur in this is nice. This is a little jumbled with the fragments of the tombs in the foreground. It conveys a sense of peacefulness though and I like the way the rain has intensified the colours.

The colourful autumn leaves on the ground and on the trees make this a nice image Steve.
