I LOVE Chihuly -- he has such an interesting take on glassware, and you've found a nice one of his to post. However, there's a bit too much going on with the metal and plants in the background, which distract from the primary focus of the image. I would also suggest maybe fiddling with the contrast, brightness, and saturation to maybe give this a bit more punch.

Well, I am not on my own computer tonight, and it looks like there's a lot of punch going on here on this screen. I love this series and I'm not sure how I missed this one as far as commenting :) I agree that there is a lot of competition with the metal work and the plants, but especially the plants seem to be a integral part of this artist's presentation. Perhaps removing the black backdrop and putting this on a different background entirely might clear up some of the eye clutter, but it would take quite a bit of work, and if one really wants to see the presentation as it was put forth at this exhibition, I guess that that becomes a part of it.
