Located along the Columbia River about thirty miles east of Portland Oregon stands Beacon rock. Beacon Rock is one of the largest free standing monoliths in the world. A trail, cut through the rock, will lead you to the top. It is a hard climb but worth it when you get to the top. I hope you enjoy!

This is a nice shot, I like the piles along and up to it, if that is what they are. Makes you wonder how trees can grow on something that looks like there is hardly any soil. Terrific image.

I would do that climb. Not very fast for a couple of reasons. First the obvious one. I have aged a bit. Secondly, I would want to savor every moment of the beauty I was witnessing.
Great post Paul.

A hard climb to the top? No thanks. I'll take the elevator. Excellent shot of this scene. Nice colors, focus, and lines created by the posts. Well done.
