There is talk about this old bridge being replaced here soon. The original span was completed in 1917 and has stood the test of time since. Now the new $3.5 billion dollar structure is a hotly contested topic out here now. I think the old one is just fine. Looks good in the sunset colors.

It looks in fine condition to me too! But you know the cities and counties....they just have to spend money they don't have to spend!...lol...And this is a beautiful capture with a gorgeous sky!!!! Outstanding and faved Paul!

What a beautiful capture of this grand old bridge. We in the US seem to want to replace everything with " new ". Doing so destroys our history. Stunning color in this shot very well done.

Paul - Unfortunately, deterioration by age and increased volumes of traffic can bring about such debates - keeping and renovating the old bridge, or building a new one. What is not debatable is the beauty of this sunset and the silhouette of the bridge structure. Thad
