I like these kinds of images, and have tried putting them over. Sometimes they do well..sometimes not. This is a very nice one with intricate details and you've placed it nicely. It almost could be a fancy fractal!!

Your image here certainly brings home the concept of your title and narrative.

Bit disturbing visually for me ... and that makes this an effective piece in my mind.

If I may ... I do have a suggestion (don't I always? :oP), and that would be to make a subtle shift in the images' placement to 'center' it.

Or barring that, perhaps come out of the zoom a tad. Very, very minor ... no biggie ... I ... uh, just can't help myself some times. :oP

Conceptually, the choice of B & W adds another element to your piece here. Most judicious choice.

In closing ... a most thought provoking work.

This makes me think more of depression - or maybe envy - than of anger, but that doesn't stop it being a great image. I like the way this seems to suck the viewer in - and not into something especially pleasant. It makes me think of emotions and thoughts and obsessions which consume those experiencing them, eating away at their selves as if they have a life of their own...

I wouldn't have especially noticed this being off-centre, but if it isn't centred (it may be more obvious on the desktop than in the preview) I'd second purmusic's suggestion about that - along with the comment endorsing your choice of colour scheme.
